Flow-Guard

A human-led QA review for SaaS products before launch, followed by automated regression runs once the product is live.

Overview

Flow-Guard is a service, not a software product. Before launch, a QA specialist goes through the product the way a first-time user would: signing up, running payment flows and checking it on several devices. After launch, automated regression tests cover critical flows such as sign-up, onboarding and checkout on every deploy.

Problem

Automated checks confirm that what was specified still works, but they rarely notice confusing flows or UX problems a first-time user hits. Small teams shipping fast often have no one to do that pass before going public.

Who it's for

Founders and small teams preparing a SaaS product for public release.

Key features

  • Pre-launch manual review of the whole product, including payment flows and multiple devices
  • Automated regression runs on every deploy after launch
  • Pre-launch and post-launch work can be combined in one engagement
  • A short application form with labelled fields and announced errors; scope is agreed after the product has been reviewed

My role

Owner. Built the website and run the service.

Technology

Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Zod, React Hook Form, Cloudflare Workers

Challenges & trade-offs

  • One validation schema shared by the browser and the server, so the application form gives instant feedback but is still checked again where it counts.
  • A fast, accessible one-page site: fields tied to their labels, errors announced to screen readers, and scroll animations that fail open so content is never hidden.
