Overview

The website presents the practice of Violeta Radoslavova, covering speech therapy, child development and Theta Healing sessions, and directs visitors to book an appointment. It also features the SmartTimes (UmnoZhitel) multiplication app.

Platforms: Web

Who it's for

Parents looking for child development support, and adult clients.

Key features

  • Service pages for each area of the practice, plus about and contact pages
  • Content the owner edits herself in a content management system: pages, services, articles and testimonials, with draft and publish
  • Appointment booking: pick a service and a date and see only genuinely free slots; the owner confirms each request
  • Article pages and a sitemap generated from the CMS content
  • Installable as a web app
  • A product page for the SmartTimes (UmnoZhitel) app

My role

Built the website for the practice's owner, including the content management back end and the appointment booking module.

Technology

Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Strapi, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Storage

Challenges & trade-offs

  • Working out which appointment slots are really free: weekly availability rules, with service-specific rules overriding the general ones, then the service's duration and buffer time, a minimum notice and a booking horizon, with slots that overlap existing appointments removed.
  • A request-then-confirm booking model: the form re-checks that a slot is still free before submitting, and the owner confirms the final time in the admin.
  • A site the owner can update without a developer, with page content, services and articles all edited in the CMS.
